This includes MAs, LCSWs, MSWs, MFTs. MAs have a Master of Arts degree
in a specific discipline, such as Counseling Psychology or School Psychology.
LCSWs (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and MSWs (Master's in Social Work)
have received Master's Degrees in Social Work. They are trained in both
social work and psychotherapy. They cannot do psychological testing or
prescribe medications. MFTs have Master's Degrees in Marriage and Family
Therapy and generally work with couples and/or families. Master's level
therapists' fees range generally from $60 to $120 per hour. |
