These clinicians have doctoral degrees (EdD, PsyD or PhD). Just like medical doctors specialize, so do psychologists. There are currently over 50 divisions within the American Psychological Association, including, for example, Social Psychology and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Psychologists often provide psychotherapy, and they are often trained in using psychological tests, such as intelligence tests and personality inventories. Psychologists' fees range generally from $80 to $140 per hour.
